1. Enroll for Masters. The working world has been piling up applicants for junks and I refuse to be left behind stinking in the working world’s trash bin. Hence, standards for competitiveness must be satisfied. And, oh school, I’m so excited to be back under your motherly care though I know I need to be more serious this time.
2. Find a Stable Job. More than anything else, I know for a fact that I’m not getting any younger and finding a niche is a must. It should be a working place where I can mature intellectually, grow socially and prosper financially… hehehe…
3. Be Relatively Independent. Financial independence is just one of my goals but total independence is another thing. In as far as my parents are still here, I still want to keep a healthy degree of submissiveness. For all I know, they may be outdated and may find it hard to understand our generation, but still, they only want what’s best for us.
4. Improve My Body Physique. A healthy body entails a thousand benefits. Needless to say, it can also satisfy my narcissist tendencies and a burning desire to look like a Chinese Greek god... (for a change) nyahaha...
5. Write my second novel and aspire for publication this time. I have written an amateur one before... Unfortunately, I lost the manuscript. I intend to write professionally now and offer it to the persons who have inspired me a lot… nyahahaha...
6. Have a photoshoot scheduled... If there's one thing that would easily pass through time, that would be a person's youth and looks, so I'd rather keep some souvenirs... hahaha...
7. TRAVEL. For so many years, I’ve stocked myself in the confines of Cordillera down to the fourth region (Palawan excluded). I’ve been in Mindoro once but I know there’s more to discover… Whether it’s inside the country or outside its premises, I’m in for the adventure this year.
8. Have a best bud. I must admit that I have never kept a best friend for years. Maybe because I’m afraid that I would be so vulnerable in knowing that another person is co-existing to be my walking diary. If it takes a lot of courage to be friendly yet to keep distant, it is also an act of bravado to expose ourselves into a check and balance.
9. Be serious with lots of things this time. Yes, life is not all work and no play but it is also not all play and no work. Striking a healthy balance is essential and I know I have intentionally forgotten the rule just for the sake of fun. Uh-oh… *wink.
10. Renew my relationship with God. I know that in the end all would be nothing without Him. Keeping the faith in this world is a real challenge but I’m up to restore myself in Him. He has done remarkable things for me in the past. Let this year be a year of thanksgiving and a sign that I will be forever gracious.
